Welcome to the Youth Leadership Program (YLP) Terms of Service. These terms govern your participation in our program, which is dedicated to empowering young individuals through leadership development, community service, and personal growth opportunities. By engaging in our program activities, you agree to abide by these terms and understand that failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of participation.
Injury Liability
Participants must be aged between 12 to 18 to enroll in the program. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by program administrators. Proof of age may be requested upon registration. This policy is flexible and not directly strict, enforcement of this policy is due to the purpose of maintaining the integrity and safety of all members participating.
At the Youth Leadership Program, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our volunteers. However, it is essential to acknowledge the inherent risks associated with volunteering activities. ANY AND ALL INJURIES SUSTAINED DURING A VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY MAY OR MAY NOT BE WITHIN THE LIBAILITY OF THE YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. Each injury case will be taken on a case-by-case basis. Appropriate misdemeanors will fall on us and all medical costs will be supported in cases where YLP's ignorance resulted in physical injury.
By participating in volunteer activities organized by YLP, volunteers acknowledge and accept the risk associated with such activities, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, or other losses that may arise. Participation in volunteer activities is voluntary, and volunteers agree to assume all risks associated with such participation knowingly and willingly.
Volunteers hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to immediately or directly blame YLP, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or rights of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by volunteers during the course of volunteering activities. All incidents will be reviewed on a case by case basis. In situations where legal measures may need to be taken, YLP will take full responsibility for independent injuries sustained due to organizational neglect.
Volunteers agree to indemnify and hold YLP, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from liability, loss, damage, or expense, including attorney fees, arising out of or resulting from the volunteer's participation in volunteering activities.
Volunteers are encouraged to obtain personal health insurance coverage to protect themselves against any potential injuries or medical expenses incurred during volunteering activities. In the event of an emergency, YLP officers on site will make appropriate efforts to secure prompt medical treatment for injured volunteers. However, YLP is not responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment or transportation. NOR IS YLP RESPONSIBLE FOR ULTIMATE RESULT OF SUCH INJURIES.
Volunteers must report any injuries or incidents occurring during volunteering activities to YLP Directors or the leadership on site as soon as possible. Failure to report injuries promptly may affect the volunteer's ability to seek compensation or assistance.
This legal statement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UNITED STATES, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct outlined below serves as a set of guidelines for all participants involved in the Youth Leadership Program. By participating in our program, you agree to adhere to these principles and uphold the values of respect, integrity, inclusivity, and professionalism at all times.
Treat all participants, mentors, volunteers, staff members, and guests with dignity and respect. Listen actively and consider the perspectives of others, even if they differ from your own. Do not engage in behavior that may be perceived as discriminatory, harassing, or disrespectful based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or bodily-ability. Act with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all interactions and communications. Refrain from engaging in any form of cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty. Honor commitments and obligations made to the program, including attendance at scheduled events and completion of assigned tasks.
Dress and behave in a manner that is appropriate for program activities and reflects positively on the organization. There is no strict regal dresscode for YLP but avoid wearing overly revealing/demeaning clothes. Outwear containing graphic, discriminatory, inappropriate, or dangerous graphics will not be permitted in any volunteering activity. Communicate professionally and courteously in all written and verbal interactions. Common communication will be an expectation from you. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information shared during program sessions. Foster a spirit of collaboration and cooperation among fellow participants, mentors, and team members. Contribute constructively to group discussions, projects, and activities, and support the success of others. Resolve conflicts and disagreements peacefully and respectfully, seeking mediation if necessary. Contact YLP staff immediately if a serious altercation occurs on site of the event. Take ownership of your actions and their consequences, both positive and negative. Make responsible decisions that prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and others. Seek help or support when needed and be willing to offer assistance to those who may require it.

YLP has the right to terminate you from our history and our program as well as revoke any awards previously earned due to misconduct or breakage of the code of conduct. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the Youth Leadership Program. YLP reserves the right to enforce consequences as deemed appropriate based on the severity and impact of the violation.

Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is important to us at the Youth Leadership Program. In some cases, we may disclose your information in response to legal requirements, such as subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests in situations that call for it.
Appropriate technical and organizational measures have been implemented to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information, YLP is not liable for faulty or hacking breaks that compromise your data. YLP will take accountability but will not be responsible for leaked information.

Client Section
The Youth Leadership Program recognizes and values the contributions of volunteers towards achieving our mission. As a volunteer-based organization, we acknowledge that the quality of volunteer work may vary due to factors beyond our control. We strive to provide meaningful opportunities for individuals to contribute their time and skills, but we cannot guarantee uniformity in the quality of volunteer performance.
Volunteer capabilities, experience levels, and availability may differ among individuals. While we make efforts to match volunteers with tasks that align with their skills and interests, we cannot ensure consistency in the execution of tasks or projects. Volunteers are encouraged to communicate any concerns or limitations they may have to the appropriate personnel within the organization.

We endeavor to provide necessary support and resources to volunteers to facilitate their success, but we cannot eliminate all potential difficulties that may arise during volunteer activities.
By participating as a client with YLP, the group accept that the quality of their volunteer experience may vary and that they may encounter situations beyond the organization's control. Volunteers from YLP are expected to approach their roles with dedication, professionalism, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
The Youth Leadership Program recognizes the importance of maintaining equipment and resources given by our clients to support our volunteer activities. We strive to provide volunteers with necessary tools and materials to carry out their duties effectively and safely. However, we understand that accidents and unforeseen circumstances may result in damage to client equipment.
Volunteers are expected to exercise care and diligence when using organization-provided equipment and resources. While we take reasonable measures to ensure the durability and reliability of the equipment provided, we cannot guarantee immunity from damage or malfunction.
In the event that client equipment is damaged during the course of volunteer activities, volunteers are required to promptly report the damage to the appropriate personnel within the organization. Depending on the circumstances surrounding the damage, volunteers may be asked to contribute to the repair or replacement costs.
YLP reserves the right to assess the cause and extent of equipment damage and take appropriate action to address the situation. This may include but is not limited to seeking reimbursement for repair or replacement costs, implementing additional training or safety protocols, or adjusting volunteer responsibilities.
By participating as a client with YLP, groups acknowledge the risk of equipment damage and to exercise caution and responsibility when using organization-provided equipment. Volunteers understand that any damage caused to equipment during the course of their volunteer activities may result in financial or disciplinary consequences.

Failure to uphold these responsibilities may result in legal consequences, including but not limited to civil liability for any injuries or damages incurred by minors under their supervision.
By participating as a client with YLP, groups acknowledge and accept the potential legal ramifications of their actions, particularly in cases involving injury to minors. Clients are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with established standards of care and professionalism to minimize the risk of harm to themselves and others.
Client Privacy
We recognize the value of documenting volunteer activities through photography and video to celebrate achievements, promote our mission, and inspire others to join our cause. Volunteers play a vital role in our efforts, and their contributions may be captured in visual media during their participation in volunteer activities.
By participating as a client with YLP, individuals acknowledge and consent to the possibility of being photographed or recorded on video while engaged in volunteer activities. This may include but is not limited to group photos, candid shots, and footage of volunteer projects or events.
Furthermore, YLP reserves the right to use photographs and video recordings featuring volunteers for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, newsletters, and other promotional materials. These images and recordings may be shared with the public to showcase the impact of our volunteer programs and attract support for our cause.
Volunteers who have concerns about being photographed or recorded are encouraged to communicate their preferences to the appropriate personnel within the organization. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, volunteers should understand that complete avoidance of being photographed or recorded may not always be feasible in group settings or public events.
It is important to note that volunteers may also encounter situations where they capture images or record videos of other volunteers, participants, or individuals during their volunteer activities. In such cases, volunteers are expected to respect the privacy and consent of those depicted and refrain from sharing or distributing images or recordings without their explicit permission.

YLP may collect personal information from the client to provide for the Volunteer Organization. This information may include, but is not limited to, names, contact details, background information, and skills or qualifications relevant to the overseer of the event. COLLECTED DATA MAY OR MAY NOT AFFECT YLP'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE AMPLE VOLUNTEERS TO THE EVENT.
YLP will use personal information collected from the client solely for the purpose of providing a background check. This may include communication with the client to ensure a safe and productive volunteer environment. Besides this, other data may be collected to improve the performance of our volunteers. YLP will disclose all purposes intended for collected data. CLIENTS HAVE A RIGHT TO REFUSE TO GIVE REQUESTED DATA.
YLP will not disclose personal information to third parties, including subcontractors or service providers, for any purpose. YLP will not sell or otherwise disclose personal information to any other third parties without consent, as required by law. We are committed to protecting the security of personal information and will take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. This includes implementing appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards.
We will retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. By engaging with the Volunteer Organization for volunteer services, volunteers consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. Client reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Policy on Client's website or other relevant platforms.
Fundraising
At the Youth Leadership Program, we are committed to transparency and accountability in the use of funds raised through fundraising activities.
Funds raised through fundraising activities organized by YLP are intended to support the mission and programs of the organization, specific purposes will change throughout the season as we aim towards different goals that require funding. 10% of said funding will be allocated to continuing this website and monthly dues required by the organization. No money will be given to individual members of YLP nor will any commercial profit be gained by administrators of YLP.
Unless otherwise specified by donors or fundraising campaigns, all funds raised will be used for the specific purposes outlined by YLP, which may include but are not limited to: Program development and implementation, Operational expenses, Outreach and awareness campaigns, Capital projects or equipment purchases.
The Youth Leadership Program is committed to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that funds are used in accordance with donor intent and legal requirements. If donors specify a particular use or restriction on their donation, YLP will make every effort to honor those restrictions. However, YLP reserves the right to redirect donations if circumstances change or if the specified purpose becomes impractical or impossible to fulfill. YLP will provide full receipts of all purchases made from fundraising. Especially regarding the use of funds raised through fundraising activities. Financial reports detailing income and expenditures will be made available upon request.
YLP will comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices governing charitable fundraising, including those related to financial reporting, tax-exempt status, and donor disclosure.

Prices for products or services will be clearly stated, and payment methods accepted will be disclosed to customers. All sales are final, and YLP reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders at its discretion. PRICES ARE NOT AVAILBLE FOR BARGAINING. DO NOT BARGAIN WITH FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS.
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver products or fulfill services in a timely manner. However, delivery times may vary depending on availability, shipping logistics, or other factors beyond our control. Refunds or exchanges may be offered at the discretion of YLP in accordance with our refund policy. Refunds for food products are NOT REFUNDABLE.
YLP will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and quality of products sold during fundraising events. However, Youth Leadership Program cannot be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the use or consumption of these products. ALL PRODUCTS ARE OUTSOURCED FROM DIFFERENT COMPANIES. YLP DOES NOT PRODUCE ANY OF THE MATERIAL SOLD.
YLP reserves the right to cancel or modify fundraising events or products at our discretion. Should an event or product be canceled, we will make every effort to communicate this to our supporters as soon as possible. Refunds may be issued in accordance with the circumstances of the cancellation. In the unlikely event that you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us on the day of purchase. We will promptly assess the situation and, if necessary, arrange for a replacement or refund. YLP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO NOT ISSUE A REFUND IF THERE IS NO NECESSARY REASON.
We retain all rights to any intellectual property associated with products or services sold during fundraising events. Customers may not reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without prior written consent.
